Technical Forecast Discussion Meet the Forecaster

Issued: 8pm on Friday, November 5th 2021

Forecast Discussion

As an upper-level trough continues to drift slowly east over the coming days, a strong area of high pressure has established itself over all the Great Lakes region. Thus, calm, cool, and clear conditions will remain a fixture of the forecast for at least the short and medium term. Temperatures will gradually warm as the upper-level trough begins migrating away from the region, warming into the mid 50s by the weekend and eventually reaching the 60s next week, with lows consistently in the upper 20s to 30s (providing consistent threats for frost and freeze). Otherwise, sunny and clear conditions will continue to dominate the forecast through the weekend before some clouds may be introduced next week as high pressure begins to finally break down.
