Forecast Discussion
Broad ridging and zonal flow these next few days will allow for skies to clear somewhat and warm. High-pressure will build these upcoming days, providing more stability in the atmosphere. Dry lines to the east of Ohio will continue to keep Athens dry for the remainder of the weekend. The next chance for rain will come Wednesday night into Thursday, although the chance is not very high. This will come alongside a low developing from Canada and will move southeastward into the coming days. Looking ahead, a cold front associated with this low will move through Thursday morning, dropping our temperatures back down slightly, but is not expected to drop us down to the chilly conditions that we have been experiencing.
