A mostly cloudy and unseasonably warm day is on tap for Saturday with temps hitting at or around 80 degrees. Rain showers will depart around early afternoon but the clouds will linger around. Rain comes into the area after midnight tonight and will last through the morning. A cold front will approach the area Sunday evening that poses the risk of severe thunderstorms. The Strom Prediction Center has issued a slight risk (2 on a scale of 5). The main risks will be damaging winds and large hail though a isolated tornado or two is possible. Storms clear after 2am Monday morning but some showers linger around throughout the day Monday. A marginal risk (1 on a scale of 5) is in place for Monday but the severe threat is greater off to the east. Tuesday looks to clear and cool. Another round of storms come in Wednesday night that will be monitor for any severe potential.
