Forecast Discussion
As an upper-level low continues to move across the Great Lakes, enough ascent will be present to generate scattered rain and snow showers throughout the overnight hours into the morning. Lows will dip to near freezing thanks to the influence of this upper-level trough, while highs tomorrow struggle to reach near 50 even as skies begin clearing somewhat. Clear skies and calm winds will lead to another chilly night Tuesday night, with widespread frost likely into Wednesday morning as lows plummet below freezing. However, a more marked warmup will start Wednesday as a high pressure system situates over the Appalachians, feeding warmer air in with southerly flow behind it. Another, weaker mid-latitude cyclone will work its way across the region Wednesday night into Thursday, before the warmup continues by the end of the week.
