Forecast Discussion
Tonight will be cloudy with a chance for rain showers throughout the night. Tomorrow, the Storm Prediction Center has issued a slight risk for the region. Strong to severe thunderstorms are likely starting Monday evening with the main threat being strong to damaging winds, although a tornado or two cannot be ruled out. Stay weather aware, have multiple and reliable ways to receive warnings, and watch for updates from the SPC, NWS Charleston, and Scalia Lab. Before the severe weather arrives tomorrow, a warm front will move through with some scattered rain showers throughout the day and warmer temperatures before a cold front arrives in the evening and increases the chance for severe storms. In the wake of the cold front, Tuesday will be chillier and windy with mostly cloudy skies. Looking ahead, our area starts to warm up on Wednesday, and this trend of warm and calmer weather will continue into the start of the weekend.
