Forecast Discussion
Muggy conditions will continue all weekend creating ample moisture for an unstable airmass. There is ample upper-level support with a trough slowly progressing eastward providing vertical motion to support the develop of thunderstorms with some potentially becoming severe. The SPC has issued a marginal risk (level 1 of 5) with the main threats being damaging wind gusts and torrential downpours. This is all due to a surface lower pressure bringing along a cold front, which will move through Friday night into Saturday morning. Storms should fire around the afternoon and continue through the evening with rain chances lingering through Saturday morning. Clouds will stick around for much of Saturday and eventually begin to clear in the evening as high-pressure settles behind the low. Once high-pressure settles in, highs will climb back to the low to mid-90s with sunny skies and dry conditions. A few clouds may return for Tuesday due to a cold front to the north from another approaching low-pressure system, but should remain dry.
