Thankfully much of the rain has exited the region and more stable conditions are expected for most of the week! Please heed caution when traveling for the foreseeable future. While the rain has stopped momentarily, the soil is still very saturated, and ponding will likely stick around for a while. Please be cautious if you plan to drive near any hillside as the risk for landslides has increased by this massive rainfall event. Unfortunately, rain is likely to return Thursday, but it’s not expected to be anything near like this past weekend.

Otherwise, today and tomorrow, while chilly, will be quite pleasant! Skies will begin to clear as a cold front moves through with high-pressure trailing behind it. Winds will be between 5-10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph, so it will feel a little chillier than usual! As previously mentioned, rain will return Wednesday night into Thursday.
