A continuing trend of dry and sunny conditions will persist this next week. Not much variability in temperature and cloud cover is expected. We may have the chance to reach near 80 mid-week right before a cold front is expected to pass over Athens Wednesday into Thursday. That cold front is expected to drop our high temperatures back into the 60s Thursday and Friday, with Thursday night’s low getting near freezing! As expected, this is all thanks to a massive high-pressure system settled over much of the eastern continental United States. Even with the cold front later in the week, high-pressure will remain the entire week.
