Our temperatures have finally down as of this evening slightly after very hot and humid afternoon earlier with heat index near 100°F. We also have scattered storms around southeastern Ohio area this evening, for those underneath these have seen fairly heavy downpours, but others have remained dry. Expect these storms to pulse down as we loose daytime heating tonight with partly cloudy and humid conditions expected. We will start out with some morning fog, otherwise very bright morning once again with increasing clouds in afternoon as diurnal effect kicks in. We will see chance of isolated heavy showers and storms during late afternoon hours as our area will be under very soupy airmass with this threat going down once again by evening hours as things clear out during nighttime hours. Sunday will be exact repeat of Saturday, just with slightly higher risk of storms. High’s will be in lower 90’s with lower 70’s for lows, peak heat index of 95°F-100°F.

Our long range period will bring an change to our weather pattern as Hurricane Ida will be making landfall in Louisiana by late Sunday and its remnants will be moving closer to our area. While the system itself won’t lift closer to our area until late Tuesday, combination of stalling front just to our west and heavy moisture from Ida will lead to the chance of widespread showers and thunderstorms from late Monday until very early on Wednesday. After the cold front moves by early Wednesday, miserable heat and humidity will come to end with temperatures cooling down to typical early September levels dry conditions.
