Special Weather Statement

Rain with a mix of snow will be the primary event for tonight. Precipitation across the area will become more widespread as a cold front pushes east, and winds will have the possibility to gust up to 30 mph. Cold air advection will move in behind the frontal passage, which will develop some of these overnight scattered snow showers. Little to no snow accumulation is expected, with about half an inch as a possibility. Tomorrow will be mainly dry as high pressure builds into the area from the south; however, temperatures will still remain chilly with northwesterly flow in place after the exiting front. Dry conditions will continue on Tuesday and Tuesday night, with a high temperature slightly higher in the mid 50s. A warm front will lift north of the area Wednesday morning, putting us in the warm sector of a low pressure system moving across the Great Lakes. Temperatures on Wednesday will reach near 70 during the day. The chance for precipitation and gustier winds arrives again Wednesday night into Thursday as another cold front pushes through the area. Temperatures will then dwindle back down to the low-mid 50s. Mainly dry conditions can be expected on Friday and most of the day Saturday as high pressure builds into the area once again.
