Dominating high pressure is set to move out eastward over the next 24 hours, promoting warmer temperatures in the low 90s tomorrow. Additional moisture may make for uncomfortable conditions, though a few spotty clouds will also be present. An approaching low pressure system will swing a warm front through the area early Saturday, promoting scattered convection throughout Saturday morning. The timing and intensity of these rain showers will dictate the potential severe weather arriving later in the day, as an abundance of rain and cloud cover will therefore inhibit storm development ahead of the cold front. Should scattered storms develop in the region, the primary threat will be damaging wind gusts, though an isolated, weak tornado can’t be ruled out, hence the Slight Risk issued for much of Ohio by the Storm Prediction Center.

Once these disorganized storms push through the area late Saturday evening, a few showers are still possible overnight, though another high-pressure driven pattern is set to take hold briefly from Sunday to Monday, dropping temperatures to the high 70s on Monday amidst calm, clear weather. Though, with the building of a ridge later in the early week, temperatures and humidity will begin to rise again as another blocking high pressure heat dome could potentially develop by the midweek.
