Forecast Discussion
The rain from overnight has ended by this morning following the passage of the cold front. We will see cold air advection as a result of this front that will drop temperatures well below normal. Cloud cover will also decrease as a result of high pressure starting to build into the area, which will also aid in cooling the temperatures. An upper level ridge and associated high pressure will finally take over the area Tuesday night into Wednesday, allowing temperatures to reach back near normal as warm air advection from the south takes over, as well as overall pleasant conditions for midweek Thanksgiving travel. These pleasant conditions do not last very long, as a cold front crosses the area Thursday morning into the afternoon. We will see rain chances increase right around dinner time, continuing on into the overnight with snow mixing in as temperatures drop below freezing. High pressure immediately follows this cold front and brings us calm and dry conditions for post Thanksgiving travel this weekend.
