Forecast Discussion

Hazardous Weather Outlook

As the cold front associated with the clipper system that has brought snow to the area exits this evening, snow showers will continue to linger, with temperatures in the low teens. Southerly flow will increase Monday ahead of another clipper system moving in, increasing temperatures to slightly above freezing for a brief time. This next clipper will produce snow for the area on Monday through Tuesday morning, with total snow accumulations being less than an inch. A rain-snow combination may mix in on Monday night as well. High pressure along with an Arctic blast of cold air provides dry and cold weather for Wednesday into most of Thursday. Another disturbance will bring a slight chance for snow showers Thursday night, but for now, mainly dry weather looks likely for the rest of the week.
