Forecast Discussion
Tonight we will see calm weather and partly cloudy skies as there are no frontal passages within the Athens or SE Ohio area. Temperatures will remain well below freezing for the rest of the evening into early Sunday morning as the winter storm over the past few days brought colder weather along with it. The snow and ice from the winter storm will remain throughout the night. Although this colder air and temperatures will not move into Sunday during the day as slightly warmer air and higher temperatures begin to move into the area. There is a high pressure system to the Northeast of Athens resting in Pennsylvania which is bringing in slightly warmer air, clear skies, and calm weather for Sunday. The slight effects we will receive from this high pressure will bring along with it no precipitation for the next few days with clear to partly cloudy skies.
