Forecast Discussion
A weak, dry cold front is passing through the region tonight, with clearing continuing into the overnight. While the front will remain hovering around the region, dry influence from high pressure to the east will keep the precipitation chances further north, leaving a pleasant day with a mix of sun and clouds and highs in the low-mid 70s. The boundary will once again pass over the region Saturday morning, this time in the form of a warm front, which will usher in much warmer conditions for the weekend. Southerly flow ushering warm/moist air from the Gulf of Mexico will lead to highs in the mid 80s Saturday and Sunday, the first sign of summer this year. Skies will remain mainly clear through the day Sunday but will increase by Sunday night as the next mid-latitude cyclone moves in, with rain returning for Monday.
