Morning started off rather chilly with temperatures in the lower 40’s for most of us after the cold front passed us last night. We will see plenty of sunshine today with highs in lower 70’s so it will be a fantastic day to be outdoors. As we progress into this evening, we should notice increasing clouds, this is due to a disturbance organizing to our west. This same disturbance arrives our area tomorrow and creates a risk of severe weather in our area. We are under marginal risk for Athens county and majority of southeastern Ohio at this moment, but if you are in western portions of our area like Vinton, Jackson, and far western portions of Lawrence counties, then you are under slight risk for severe storms at the moment. We will keep an eye on how the risk gets adjusted over next 12-24 hours and update you over our twitter/Facebook page. Primary threat is of damaging winds, but cannot rule out isolated hail/tornado risk as well. For tomorrow, it looks like we may have some initial morning rain showers with little break during late morning into early afternoon with few peeks of sun, before storms starts to ignite late afternoon into evening hours before everything clears out with passage of another cold front Tuesday night. Things dry out for Wednesday and Thursday with seasonal temperatures with another low pressure system arriving on Friday with additional rain chances.
