Today the Storm Prediction Center (SPC) placed the majority of southeast Ohio under a slight risk, including Athens County due to a chance for severe thunderstorms. A few thunderstorms have already moved through, but there is a chance a few more will move through during the overnight hours. A low of 67 degrees is expected tonight with a 70% chance of thunderstorms. Flooding is the main threat associated with these storms. Tomorrow morning rain chances continue with cloudy skies. Temperatures will rise into the upper 80s throughout the afternoon with northerly winds between 5-10 mph. Thursday night clouds will clear a bit and temperatures will drop into the mid-60s. Friday the clouds will return with a chance of afternoon rain showers and temperatures in the upper 70s.

Saturday cloudy skies will continue as the low pressure makes its exit. Temperatures will reach the mid-80s. Saturday and Sunday a high pressure will move in and bring sunny skies, dry conditions, and highs into the mid to upper 80s.
