Forecast Discussion

Low pressure that is moving through the region currently is bringing along with it cloudy skies, colder and drier air, and rain. This system is also going to bring us some chance for some snow flurries on its tail end after it begins to move out of our forecast area. The National Weather Service has also issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for gusty winds tonight into tomorrow morning. Temperatures will continue to drop this week getting into the low 20s and possibly even the teens over the weekend. Additionally, clouds will stick around through about Sunday when they start to clear. This is a result of the current longwave trough pattern aloft that is coinciding with low pressure at the surface. This is also drawing up lots of moisture from down South which is why we have the clouds and some rain.
