After chances for mixed precipitation this morning, conditions will begin to clear out this afternoon as upper level ridging and surface high pressure begin to build into the area. This will warm temperatures into the 50s today and make way for mostly sunny skies. Much of Sunday will be dry as well before a low pressure system sends a warm front north through Sunday night, followed by a cold front on Monday. This system will bring chances for showers and thunderstorms as well as gusty winds with a tightening pressure gradient and low-level jet. Some far eastern southeast Ohio counties are under a marginal risk for severe weather on Monday, with the main threats being damaging winds and heavy downpours. Gusty winds and chances for rain will dissipate by Monday night after the cold frontal passage, clearing conditions out for Tuesday and much of Wednesday as ridging and surface high pressure briefly builds in. However, by Wednesday night, a shortwave trough and surface low pressure approach the Great Lakes region, which will send a cold front through, returning chances for rain showers to close out the work week. Chances for a wintry system is possibly in the works Friday night into Saturday, but models are still too far out to know for certain.
