A low pressure system moving much farther north of us will swing a cold front through our area, bringing about higher winds and a steady rain throughout the morning. By the afternoon, the front will have passed and rain will have exited the region, but winds between 10-15 mph will persist until the evening hours, with overcast skies beginning to break slightly before sunset. The cold front will leave us with plummeting temperatures, as the high today will be around 55 degrees around noon as the rain wraps up. Once that front passes, temperatures will linger in the mid 40s for the rest of the day. By evening, mainly cloudy skies will be present, but as the evening persists into the night, more breaks in the cover will appear, until by morning tomorrow, no clouds will be in sight. Winds will lessen as the night continues as well, between 5-10 mph throughout the night, making the already chilly low of 25 degrees feel colder.

Tomorrow, those clear morning conditions will see more clouds move in by the afternoon, with a high in the low 40s. Winds will ramp up once again, between 15-20 mph and gusts up to 30 mph. No rain is expected. As the evening approaches, mostly cloudy skies will turn to partly cloudy skies overnight, and winds will drop to 5-10 mph. By sunrise, it’ll be clear, with a low at an even colder 17 degrees.
