Forecast Discussion
As a cold front responsible for producing severe thunderstorms and even a few tornadoes yesterday slowly treks eastward, shower and thunderstorm chances will continue for much of the day today. After the frontal passage, precipitation chances will gradually end, and high pressure will build in behind it. Temperatures will be much cooler compared to temperatures in the 80s while being in the warm sector of the strong low pressure system, along with post frontal clouds sticking around for the next couple days. Sunny skies will then make a return on Saturday into Sunday as high pressure continues to build into the region, keeping conditions dry and providing a gradual warming trend heading into the next work week.
