Technical Forecast Discussion
Short Term Forecast (Sunday 5/28/2023 through Thursday 6/1/2023)
Low pressure from the southeastern United States is stretching some clouds north to our area, and we are seeing a chance for precipitation this Memorial Day as a result. These patches of rain will be very isolated and will generally be directed to the southern points of our area. Other than the slight chance for rain and a crack of thunder, we are looking to have very pleasant daytime highs in the 70s for your Memorial Day celebrations. As the the week progresses, we are looking at a dry spell with dominant high pressure, keeping our skies clear and sunny. Expect a warming trend this week with all that incoming solar radiation. Much of the United States is going to experiencing dry and warm weather to welcome in the month of June as we see a sharp upper level ridging pattern that will persist until the weekend.
Long Term Forecast (Thursday 6/1/2023 through Sunday 6/4/2023)
Temperatures are expected to peak with the weekend as Saturday is looking at daytime highs in the low-90s. We are still looking at dominant surface high pressure with that strong upper-level ridging, which means a rather hot weekend is in store. Summer lovers, enjoy!
