Forecast Discussion
A high pressure system has us by a stranglehold, and because of this and some warm air being brought in from the Gulf of Mexico, we’re going to see unseasonably high temperatures. Even though the calendar’s now flipped to October, temperatures in the high eighties are possible today and tomorrow. This doesn’t mean the nighttime hours are going to be pleasant, though! Low cloud cover is going to mean that our temperatures are going to cool off quickly.
During most nights, we’ll be warming up quickly going into the day, this will bring the potential for some patchy fog in the morning hours today and tomorrow. This fog is not expected to persist very long after sunrise. Our next active weather system isn’t expected until Thursday, where a cold front will bring some rain as well as a temperature drop off.
