Forecast Discussion
Tonight will remain cold, dry, and cloudy as we await the system to our south. On Monday, there will be a slight chance for some flurries as the system moves NE, and we remain in the outer bands of the system. Snow flurries really shouldn’t start until the afternoon hours but may be as late as the evening. Models suggest that half an inch to an inch of snow will fall. Flurries have the potential to continue into Tuesday morning for the start of the Spring semester for OU students. However, by Tuesday afternoon, skies will clear as high-pressure sets in. During this period, afternoon highs and overnight lows will remain very cold, and with wind chill even colder, so make sure to bundle up if you have to go out!
Sunny skies will continue Wednesday, and temperatures will climb just a bit. However, by Thursday, another system will move into the area and bring another round of snow. Models suggest between 1-2 inches are anticipated from round.
