Forecast Discussion
High pressure slowly moves off to the east as the next system moves in tonight through Thursday afternoon. As a result, cloud cover will increase and eventually become overcast on Thursday. Widespread snow showers are expected to begin after midnight Thursday. These snow showers are expected to continue through Friday until a little after midnight Saturday. Models are still not in complete agreement on final snow totals yet. However, the range is between 1-3 inches between Friday after midnight and Saturday after midnight. A clearer picture should be available in tomorrow’s forecast. Either way, we suggest being prepared to stay off the roads Friday in the event heavier snow totals take place.
Saturday should be mostly dry but cloudy as the system exits to our east. On Sunday and Monday, sunny skies should make an appearance as high pressure builds in behind the snow system. Monday temperatures should climb into the 40s for the first time in several days for the region.
