Forecast Discussion

This evening is the final calm before the storm projected to hit the local area in the wee hours of tomorrow morning. Periodic thunderstorms will last until Wednesday afternoon, causing the National Weather Service in Charleston, WV to issue a Hazardous Weather Outlook for southeastern Ohio. Half an inch of rain is expected tomorrow from the system, followed by another half inch of rain Wednesday. Winds up to 20mph associated with the respective cold front will follow the rain event on Wednesday afternoon, plummeting our above-average temperatures into a bitterly cold mid-20s Thursday morning. Temperatures will begin to rise with dry skies through the rest of the week, however, culminating in a weekend with highs soaring into the 60s and 70s.
