Zonal flow from the upper atmosphere alongside this high will allow temperatures to soar this weekend into next week. Saturday and Sunday temperatures will remain around 90, but rain and thunderstorms might return late Sunday morning and early Monday morning to help cool the region down. Come Monday and Tuesday next week, highs could reach the upper 90s so please make sure you are drinking plenty of water and keep cool! Other than that, high-pressure will remain strong for the next week which thankfully make the weather in Athens pretty un-eventful.
