Today’s beautiful weather will continue overnight, with skies cloudless and calm. However, with a very narrow upper-level ridge building in our area, a warming trend is likely to occur this weekend. Saturday will remain in the low 90s, still sunny and calm due to higher pressure. Beginning Saturday night, though, a few clouds will begin to develop, which will continue through Sunday. Sunday will be especially hot, at a high near 94 degrees, but thankfully not terribly humid. Still, take extra precaution to hydrate and seek relief from the heat during the day.

By Monday, a shortwave trough pushes into the area, and a stationary front in the south will spur some disorganized rain showers and perhaps a rumble of thunder or two in our area. Unfortunately, this pattern is here to stay, with Tuesday seeing a similar chance of precipitation amidst a mostly cloudy day. Wednesday may see these showers become more sparse, though a chance of these pop ups still hovers over the day into the night. Temperatures will also still hang in the mid-to-upper 80s, making this pattern to start off the week quite the dreary one.
