Active weather persists this week as a parade of low pressure systems move through the area along a series of shortwave disturbances. Tonight, more clouds will begin to build overnight as a weak cold front approaches the area. Rain showers may arrive ahead of this front in the early morning hours of Tuesday along a decaying mesoscale convective vortex that will have developed in the west and pushed southeastward. The front will likely push through by noon of Tuesday, in which most of the clouds will begin to disperse quickly by the evening. This pattern of calm weather will be short lived, though will make for a clearer, albeit warm, Wednesday, at a high of 92 degrees.

A stationary front to our north may develop by Thursday, promoting some more showers to pop in and out of the area as it interacts with a hot, moist airmass currently sitting in much of the eastern United States, making for daytime temperatures in the mid 90s. This front will eventually move along with a developing low pressure to our north, making for more scattered showers and storms to appear in our area throughout the rest of the week. These pop up showers and storms will often be quite unpredictable, turning a mostly sunny sky into a soaking rain in a matter of minutes, so monitor your radar app and local weather service in case of any outdoor plans.
