An upper-level trough will aid support in vertical motion and cloud development allowing for an increase in moisture and chances for showers and thunderstorms over the weekend. At the surface, this is aided by an occluded midlatitude cyclone located over the Great Lakes. This will lift a warm front through the Ohio Valley this afternoon allowing southeast Ohio to be located in the warm sector. This will provide a warm, moist and unstable airmass to fuel showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. A cold front will push through Saturday evening fueling showers and storms along the front. Due to this, the SPC has issued a marginal risk (level 1 of 5) for both today and Saturday with the main threats being damaging wind gusts with an isolated stronger storm.

Once the cold front moves through Saturday evening, cooler air will subside behind the system with highs in the upper-70s to near 80 degrees feeling much more comfortable for this time of year. Rain chances will continue on the backend of the front on Sunday with clouds lingering on Monday. Clouds will begin to decrease throughout the day on Monday giving way to clear conditions Monday night into Tuesday. High-pressure will settle in Tuesday with plenty of sunshine and drier conditions.
