A large ridge remains parked over much of the eastern United States, and a shortwave trough in the South has halted the progression of Post-Tropical Cyclone Francine any further north into the mainland. As such, the few clouds that were pushed into the area from this low will dissipate overnight. Relatively calm flow as we remain in a neutral pressure pattern will promote similar conditions on Saturday that we’ve experienced throughout the week, with sunny skies and a high near 91 degrees expected. Calm conditions remain overnight, and once again on Sunday will almost exact conditions be expected, though a few more clouds could arrive in the later afternoon.

Conditions on Monday remain monotonous, with a few more clouds present and a high in the upper 80s. By Tuesday, however, a subtropical low off the coast of Florida could develop and be pushed up the East Coast, eventually being turned westward into the Appalachian region by Wednesday due to a strong blocking high pressure located further northward. This subtropical low will push in more clouds and moisture as it could potentially settle over the Ohio region, lowering temperatures to the low 80s by the midweek. A chance of a shower is possible too, though remains minimal due to the prevalent dry air stuck over much of the Midwest.
