Forecast Discussion

A frost advisory issued by the NWS is in effect until 9:00am this morning before the sun rises and begins to heat the surface. High-pressure will stick around for much of the weekend bringing sunny and dry conditions with temperatures climbing into the 70s to the low-80s by Sunday. However, an upper-level trough is expected to dig down towards the Ohio Valley and become cut-off. This will bring a low-pressure system from the Great Plains moving northeast, which will stall with a stationary boundary to the north on Saturday. A cold front from this system will move through Sunday evening once the system progresses bringing a chance for rain showers Sunday evening into Monday morning. Behind the front, clouds will linger a bit for Monday before sunnier skies move in on Tuesday as high-pressure settles in again. A significant cool down is expected next week with highs reaching the upper-50s to near 60.
