Forecast Discussion

Cooler, fall-like temperatures will persist throughout the weekend thanks to the cold frontal passage last night. The cold front has stalled out and became a stationary front south of our region, which is providing a lifting mechanism that will keep chances for some isolated rain showers in the forecast for SE Ohio. Mostly cloudy skies will again limit daytime insolation on Sunday, keeping highs just at or below 70. A developing low pressure system in the Plains will increase chances for showers and an isolated storm beginning Monday, when a warm front begins to lift over our region. Periods of showers and afternoon/evening storms will remain in the forecast through mid-week with the influence of the low, but this will help reduce daytime highs and provide comfortable temperatures for SE Ohio.
