Tonight, scattered storms will make their way into the Southeast Ohio region by the evening hours, and some of these storms could be severe, as indicated by the Enhanced Risk of severe storms from the Storm Prediction Center. As the evening progresses, though, the severe risk will evolve into a flash flooding risk, as isolated heavy downpours are possible with a few storms. Rain will taper off after midnight as the cold front associated with this precipitation pushes through. As such, Wednesday is expected to be clear and calm, with a high in the mid 70s as high pressure dominates much of the day. These pleasant conditions will persist through Wednesday night, though Thursday will see an increase in clouds and a return of showers and storms as a Marginal Risk of severe weather is in place for another returning low pressure system.

Despite the high in the mid 80s on Thursday, the cold front that will have pushed through will drop temperatures to the mid 70s on Friday. A secondary cold front on Friday will return clouds and showers to the area, and then drop temperatures to the mid 60s on Saturday. However, strong high pressure will keep things calm for the rest of the weekend.
