Megan Jones (Board Vice President) is a Meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Bismarck, North Dakota. After growing up in Cincinnati, Ohio, she received her B.S. in Meteorology from Ohio University in 2016, and then her M.S. in Atmospheric Sciences from Ohio State University in 2018. She moved directly from Columbus, Ohio, to Bismarck in September of 2018, and has been with NWS Bismarck ever since. Megan is the local Climate Services Lead at the office, handling climate-related decision support services, and also helps with graphics, messaging, and outreach. She periodically deploys to the North Dakota Department of Emergency Services, providing direct partner support and key weather updates to state and local decision makers.
