As a stationary front cuts Ohio in half, we may see some showers and possibly a rumble of thunder tomorrow as clouds begin to rapidly build overnight. Winds will remain minimal, so any mugginess will remain stagnant with no form of relief. The Weather Predication Center has continued to keep Athens in a marginal risk for excessive rain tomorrow as well as Wednesday and Thursday. Currently, any showers that may pop up continue to keep a low expectancy of severity. Please continue to be vigilant for any ponding on any roads because of the already saturated soils as well as the risk for localized flash flooding.

The remainder of the forecast continues to be quite hot and muggy as temperatures continue to bounce between the mid-80s to near 90. Clouds are expected to persist into much of the forecast, though a break could be expected tomorrow evening as high-pressure sits at the surface. A low-pressure system will move into Ohio throughout Wednesday through Friday, and with it will come yet another increased chance for showers and thunderstorms.
