Areas of fog this morning, clearing up by the afternoon. Other than a couple isolated showers we should stay mostly dry during the daytime. High today getting close to 90 degrees. Thunderstorm chances will increase during the late evening hours and throughout the night. A Marginal risk (level 1 out of 5) has been issued for our area for the chance for gusty winds with some of these storms. Isolated pockets of thunderstorms may also bring heavy downpours, which may lead to flash flooding in low lying areas through the night and into Sunday. The WPC has issued a Slight risk (level 2 out of 4) for excessive rainfall for today and Sunday. This is due to already saturated grounds potentially causing flash flooding with the rain expected this weekend. As we go into Sunday isolated morning rain will stick around with heavier pockets developing during the afternoon with a couple rumbles of thunder. Throughout the new week, as the low-pressure system exits our area we’ll start to transition into a slight ridge with some high pressure by mid-week, bringing our temperatures into the upper 80s and lower 90’s. Another system is expected to come late week bringing another chance for showers and thunderstorms.
