Forecast Discussion

A high-pressure system is sitting around the Great Lakes Region and is reaching down into our region, creating clear skies. The passing of a cold front dropped temperatures into the low 80s, and with clear skies in the evening, we will see cooler overnight temperatures and calm winds. We can expect slightly drier conditions to persist throughout the days as moisture is kept to the south from the deepening high-pressure system. Sunny skies on Tuesday will allow for daytime warming, but the clear conditions overnight Tuesday will lead to over a 20 degree difference in our temperature from the daytime. Going into Wednesday, we will still feel the impact of that high pressure as temperatures will extend back into the 90s and skies will be mostly sunny. These next few days will be sunny and hot, so be sure to stay hydrated and take precautions to avoid long sun exposure.
