Forecast Discussion

The NWS has issued a Special Weather Statement due to locally dense fog which should clear up by about 9 am. Until then remain vigilant when driving and procced with caution as visibilities can reduce rapidly.

As the showers from this weekend exit, we will enter a warming trend as we begin to climb back into the 90s. With calm winds and sunny skies, this will cause issues with our heat indexes. Tuesday in particular will have heat indexes as high as 102 degrees! This has caused the NWS to issue a Heat Advisory beginning tomorrow at noon and will expire at 8 pm on Wednesday. Please stay cool these next few days and avoid partaking in any strenuous outdoor activities during peak heating hours.

We will continue this warming trend until a cold front makes its way through our area Wednesday night and into Thursday morning bringing a chance for showers and thunderstorms. However, this will give us a much needed break from the heat with highs only being in the low 80s to round off our week.
