Forecast Discussion
Surface low-pressure will linger just east/ southeast of the region which will keep skies cloudy, though rain chances are not expected for the remainder of the week. Temperatures will remain around 90 for the next few days through Sunday, and high-pressure will only keep these temperatures warm alongside an upper-level ridge. Behind that ridge will be a building trough, increasing our chances for showers and maybe a rumble of thunder Sunday. However, these precipitation chances are very minimal, and the region may not even see some rain showers. With the introduction of this trough aloft, it’s expected to deepen into the start of the first week of classes, and, because of this trough, colder Canadian air will blanket Ohio and we’re likely going to see a substantial cool-down into temperatures we haven’t seen since early this summer! Make sure to take some time to enjoy the mid-to-upper 70s with plenty of sun next week to kick off the start of the new school year!
