Forecast Discussion

Currently the temperature is around 65 degrees and will continue to drop into into the mid to low 50s with clear skies and weak wind as a high pressure ridge stays situated over the area. Monday will be similar as the ridge remains over Athens and much of the Midwest so expect sunny to partly cloudy skies and calm weather with highs around 80 degrees due to high pressure and southernly winds. Monday night will remain calm and clear with lows in the low 60s. With Tuesday, a low pressure system to our NE will cause a trough to move into the area which will bring moisture from the south, so expect cloudy and rainy weather for most of Tuesday into Wednesday with cooler temperatures succeeding the rain due to a cold front moving through the area so expect more mild temperatures after Wednesday for the rest of the week.
