Forecast Discussion

It’s a busy day in the atmosphere across much of the region. As we sit in a deep trough aloft, we are also followed by a mid-latitude cyclone southwest of us. The trend is to continue moving eastward, bringing a substantial amount of precipitation along the way. Because of this, the National Weather Service issues a marginal risk of rain to all of Ohio and much of neighboring states. We are guaranteed rain showers later this evening and heading into Thursday morning. Much of early tomorrow will be filled with the remnants of rain from the cyclone.  We can also expect some consistent winds through today and tomorrow. Towards the evening of both days, wind gusts can reach up to 25 mph. Heading into Halloween weekend, it is appearing to clear up for some nicer weather and slightly warmer temperatures.
