Forecast Discussion
The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has a portion of Athens county under a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) for severe weather tomorrow. Main hazards are wind and hail. No weather alerts are issued at this time.
Today will continue with very overcast skies with the occasional sprinkle of rain. Later this evening, rain chances increase, but accumulation is little to none. Wind gusts may get up to 25mph today, and as we move into tomorrow, winds calm down slightly, but there is a probability of rain showers and thunderstorms in the late evening into the overnight hours. Tornado, hail, and wind chances are probable, but on the lower end in terms of severity. Looking forward into the weekend, clouds will clear out on Saturday to allow for a pleasant day in the mid-50s. However, there is a low snow chance on Sunday.
