Forecast Discussion
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 09:00 PM EDT.
Chances for scattered showers and storms will dissipate by midnight tonight with a cold frontal boundary swinging through the region. A slight dip in temperatures and dewpoints are expected for Tuesday with high pressure out of the west settling in. High pressure will remain in control for most of the work week, keeping us dry for the majority of the time period. However, this system will quickly shift to our southwest by Tuesday night, pumping in warm, humid air out of the Gulf. This will put us in a warming trend through the remainder of the week, with highs approaching 90 as early as Thursday.
