Forecast Discussion

A Flash Flood Warning is in effect until July 7, 12:15 AM EDT

A weak cold frontal boundary will move through the region tonight, providing chances for scattered showers and possibly a thunderstorm during the early part of the night. This southerly moving frontal boundary will clash with the Appalachian Mountains, making it progress slower and keep chances for an isolated shower or storm in the forecast for Sunday. High pressure out of the north will briefly settle in on Monday, but warm air advection still exists in the lower levels of the atmosphere, keeping both surface temperatures and dewpoints fairly high. A warming trend will then persist through the middle of the work week before another Low approaches, bringing back chances for storms as early as Wednesday.
