The continued presence of an amplified upper level ridging pattern over the Eastern U.S. will promote another unseasonably warm day today and tomorrow with highs around 90. While the day today is expected to remain mostly dry, the presence of unstable conditions associated with the passing of a stationary frontal boundary to our northeast may promote the chance for an isolated shower or thunderstorm. While the chance is low, any possible precipitation would be likely to occur during the late afternoon and early evening hours today. Low precipitation chances will again exist during the afternoon Friday as a cold front approaches from the west. This cold front will also bring increasing cloud coverage and more rain chances on Friday night as the front traverses the region. High pressure will then build back into the region for the remainder of the day Saturday as we encounter a slight relief from the heat with highs in the low 80s. This high pressure will remain over the region Sunday and for the beginning of next week creating dry and mostly sunny conditions.
