A low-pressure system is approaching our area and is expected to pass to our north this weekend. This system is going to bring a somewhat strong cold front through our region that will drop daytime temperatures into the high 40s. Ahead of this cold front, we also expect some isolated rain showers today and tonight before the cold front passes through sometime tomorrow afternoon/evening. There is also a slight chance for a rumble of thunder with some showers tomorrow.

To end out the weekend, chances for rain stick around on Sunday and Monday, with high temperatures as low as 49, and as clouds start to clear out we expect those overnight lows to drop down below freezing. This could prompt some freeze warnings from the National Weather Service, so stay tuned for updated information closer to Monday.
