Forecast Discussion
After the remains of Delta passed through the region yesterday, today will see a brief period of calm and clearing, with areas of fog in the morning giving way to a mix of sun and clouds, warm and humid conditions during the day. These conditions will be interrupted this evening into the overnight by a cold front sweeping through the region, bringing a line of scattered showers and thunderstorms along it. Showers and storms will remain weak as dynamics provide little to no support for severe weather and thus any storms that pass through will likely only be accompanied by a downpour, a scattered rumble of thunder, and maybe a gust of wind. Once the front is through, conditions quickly return to clear and calm (although not as humid) for the middle of the week thanks to high pressure, with a very nice Tuesday and Wednesday on tap. The next cold front swings through Thursday and provides a significant cooldown heading into the weekend.
