Forecast Discussion

A low pressure system has passed us by to the North, leaving us to continue on the path of cooler temperature we’ve been experiencing here in Athens. A brief high pressure system will begin to settle in for us, and so expect skies to clear through the course of the day and into tonight. Expect temperatures to cool off quickly come sundown, and there’s even a good chance we end up around freezing as a low temperature, so areas of widespread frost could definitely be possible into tomorrow.

Following tomorrow, we’re going to be bombarded with a more unusual pattern, a smaller trough currently South of us will start to meander Northwards into the region, which will give us some rain and showers. This trough will then be pushed out of the region by, you guessed it, another low-pressure disturbance. This will keep weather murky and semi-unpleasant with a lingering chance of precipitation for the foreseeable future.
