Forecast Discussion
The heat, humidity, and active stormy pattern will continue for the next several days. Highs will hover within a couple degrees of 90, lows will hang in the upper 60s to 70, and dewpoints will remain oppressive around 70 through the upcoming weekend. Every day will pose a threat of afternoon pop-up showers and storms, and while the severe threat will remain modest, heavy rain, lightning, or even a strong gust of wind are possible with these pop-ups. However, relief may finally begin to come into sight by early next week, as a cold front will infiltrate from the north and west, and then eventually we deal with whatever remains of Tropical Storm Ida.
